This new cookbook  is a spiral-bound, 372 page laminated, soft cover cookbook containing favorite recipes of more than 320 of the Massachusetts Dames and color images of oil paintings done for the cookbook by Elizabeth Mumford. The images can be seen below. Also included are the histories of the three historic houses which are maintained, historical vignettes about the people who built and lived in them, and descriptions of the collections in the houses. Colonial recipes from the Prescott and Wolcott families are found throughout the book, as are fun household hints from colonial times.

Wonderful recipes and illustrations, colonial history, fun anecdotes, useful resources for cooking, entertaining, gifts and running a home
.

There is also a hand-picked list of favorite resources in the Boston area (all with websites) from which you may purchase food, beverages, silver, furniture, art and silver restoration services, catering help, jewelry, gifts, etc. All resources have generously donated money to support the mission of the Dames.

All profits from the book will help maintain the three museum houses and their collections.

Please click on any of the pictures below to view them in larger size with a description. These illustrations were painted by Elizabeth Mumford for the cookbook. She is a renowned Cape Cod artist who is a member of the Massachusetts Dames. These images are found throughout the cookbook, each one heading up a chapter of the book.
