Liberty Hall is the home of Kentucky's first United States senator, John Brown.  Tours of this architectural masterpiece focus on the lives of the Brown family and their experiences in the early to mid-19th century.

The bricks were made and the timber cut on the side.  A Palladian window highlights the front facade of this Georgian style house.

The grounds include a large boxwood and perennial garden that extends from the back of the house to the banks of the Kentucky River.  Rather than being a reproduction of the original garden at Liberty Hall, today's version reflects the garden as it evolved through four generations of Brown ownership.

The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the Commonwealth of Kentucky owns and operates both the Liberty Hall Historic Site and the Orlando Brown House which are in Frankfort.
